Five questions the board asks, answered before the meeting.

“How many new students are coming next term?” Last year that took a week and three people. It is the first thing this page shows — on the screen the Head lands on at sign-in.

What’s ahead?

How many new students are coming next term?

The Management Dashboard, Admission tab. Starting against leaving by month, the month-by-month table, and the projected headcount — counted forward from the starts and leavers already dated in the system.

Mirrors: School Admin → Management Dashboard → Admission → What's ahead? · starts and leavers already dated, counted forward; nothing predicted

It forecasts nothing — it counts starts and leavers already dated, and says what is not yet dated. A start is a commencement date on an enrolment; a leaver is a withdrawal with an effective date, or a terminal-year cohort at its year end. Switch the horizon and the chart and the table re-slice on the spot; hover a month for its counts.

Are we growing?

Are we growing this term?

The same tab, upper half. Active students today; who joined, withdrew and graduated in the window you pick; the admission pipeline; active students by division.

Active students are as of today; joined, withdrawn and graduated are counted for this month, the year to date or the last twelve months, and the pipeline moves with them. The pipeline is filled on Admissions & WhatsApp CRM.

Student Growth

Are the students’ results improved?

The Academic tab answers in one row — the school average against last term, how many students improved, held or declined, how many cards are finalised. Open Student Growth and the answer becomes a name and a trend: every student, every term, one cohort or the whole school.

Mirrors: School Admin → Management Dashboard → Academic → results row · Insight Centre → Student Growth · finalised cards only; a card in marking is listed, never counted

Finalised report cards only — a card still in marking is listed, never counted, and no missing term is ever estimated. One definition of the number across the dashboard row, the report and a student’s own Results tab; the marks are entered on Academic.

On the screen

What the screen itself says

Four things a Head can check without asking anyone.

Signing in lands here

The Management Dashboard is the first screen after the Head signs in — not a menu, not a home page.

One number, not two

The receivable figure says “Same definition as Insight → AR Aging” on screen. The board’s figure and the finance office’s figure are the same figure.

Dated, and named

What’s ahead counts what is dated and names what is not: how many are awaiting a start date, how many applications are still in the pipeline.

Locked marks

Results come from finalised report cards. A card in marking is shown as in marking, and nothing on the screen is a projection.

The dashboard reads your school and no one else’s. A school account has no cross-school view, and nothing on the page is forecast.

The other questions

Are we collecting? That one is Finance’s

The Finance tab stays one sentence here: billed against collected, receivable today, deposits held. The Finance Manager’s screens have their own page.
